World Kids Journey is a meaningful resource for children, families and teachers. It tackles real issues viewed through the eyes of a six-year-old. It’s an excellent resource for families considering moving countries and those in education too. Highly recommend it.

I am writing in support of this wonderful book entitled, WorldKids Journey. I have been an educator for 25 years, and 22 of my years have been spent as an expat working in international schools. Working with third culture kids and cross-cultural kids brings many wonderful opportunities but also challenges for families and especially children as their identity becomes a part of where they call home. This book provides an excellent opportunity for children to reflect upon and build their story. Who they are, where they are from and what they are such an important part of a child’s identity and belonging. WorldKids Journey allows children to reflect upon favourite memories, first days of school, ways to say goodbye and last but not least to ground themselves in what is important in their families and their identities. In all of my years working with third culture kids/cross cultural kids I have never been so touched by the unique style that this book has and the spirit of where we call ‘home’ lives. One of the best parts is that the book is driven by Marije experience, and her son Mees, living outside of their home country. I would not hesitate for a minute to pick the book up, share it with your child and begin having your child tell their story!
